| 1) Do vacuum test at port downstream of throttle body. Look at the balance tube for port that supplies the AIV's snd disconnect that and plug vac gage in or put a T in the vac line if not sure. At idle a steady reading in the range of about 19 to 21" Hg should be present if OK. If needle vibrates al lot at +/- 0.5"Hg that could be valve guides. Low readings could be rings. Vacuum gage will reveal clooged exhaust. Here are descriptions of the various vac readings .................................
